The Prosperity Group, in collaboration with Limassol Municipality and well known international market-design consultants with experience creating high profile projects in Holland, Germany and Israel will take full design and operation of The Agora.
The Agora, an indoor market built by the prominent architect from Corfu Greece Zacharias Vondas during 1915-1918, came to replace the outdoor market ‘Kounapia’ within the British reforms of the public space. It became the permanent place for fishermen and farmers to sell their goods.
Buyers would visit the market once or twice a week to buy fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables for both households and retail. It slowly became the sole place for producers to sell their merchandise and for the residents of Limassol to buy fresh-only produce.
